Botox®/BOCOUTURE®

This is the popular name of the protein Botulinum toxin type A which may be found in nature. It is commonly used to temporary relax the muscles responsible for facial expression around the eyes.

The physician will inject Botox into the muscle which will become sedated so that for instance frowning will no longer be possible. This effect is on its best after a few days and can last up to 4-6 months. The wrinkle that started because of continuous contraction of the muscle will disappear. If desired, treatment may be repeated after several months and the results will last for a longer period of time..
