Research
Laser Company uses 2 different surveys. An preliminary survey to see if you are suited for an eye correction and a comprehensive examination which will take place after the preliminary survey.

Preliminary survey
Are you suited for laser eye treatment? To find out whether you are a suitable candidate, and what treatment is your best option, you can make an appointment for a free and non-binding survey. Here we can make a few brief measurements which can be an indication of what options are.

During an interview with our specialists, the various possibilities will be discussed in detail with you. After this short survey, you'll still have to come back for the extensive research before we can proceed to treatment.

Advanced Research
The extensive research, a detailed and comprehensive analysis of the eyes will be made. Based on this research, that at Laser Company exists both out of a subjective and objective measurements, we can collect all information about the eyes that are necessary. This way, taking into account your hobbies and personal circumstances, we can discus what's the best possible treatment in your case.

What can you expect?
This research will take about 2 hours, wherein  the following items will be addressed:

  • Measurement of corneal thickness
  • Measurement of corneal curvature
  • Topography of the eye
  • Automated strength measurement (Autorefraction)
  • Measurement of pupil diameter
  • Unadjusted and adjusted observation
  • Intraocular pressure measurement
  • Tear film / tear production - test
  • Retinal Research
  • Eye-measurement with dilated pupils
  • Detailed explanation of the possibilities, the treatment and everything else that matters for the eye laser correction *

For retinal research counts that we will attempt to let this research take place on the same day as the extensive research, preferably in the clinic. It's however possible that you will have to make a second appointment or that you appointment will take place at another location. This has to do with the further work of the ophthalmologist.

* The doctor is always the one who has the final judgment about the treatment.

Contact
For this extensive research you'll need to leave your soft lenses out for at least 2 weeks before this survey. For hard lenses it's at least 4 weeks. Contact lenses are on top of the cornea making it a little deformed. It is important that the cornea has obtained its natural form again before the examination takes place.
